Elafonisi is a small island with white sand  in the south east of Crete. The coast is separated by a lagoon where the depth of the sea is not more than 1 meter. On the road to Elafonisi we pass the monastery “Chrissoskalitissa“, which was built on a large rock in front of a white wall. Here we make a stop. The myth says that the final stage is golden, but only believers actually see it.
